Description
This is a hand built custom two story Redwood house on 4.42 acres. It was built by Artist(Annie Murphy Springer) that became the first woman fire chief in Bodega. The artist owner taught Water Color painting on PBS TV. One of Annie's favorite phrases was "I aspire to inspire before I expire. "The property was the home base for her art work since 1971. There are studios, workshops, separate cottage bedrooms, greenhouse, out door sleeping and barbequing area, plus storage sheds. This property borders a large open field. The neighboring pasture is home to a sheep herd that Annie seemed to use for her models. Her studio looks directly into the open pasture. The buildings need some TLC but are in good condition. The property shows that it was loved by the owners and was a special retreat from the hectic pace we live. The naked girl statue and fountain do not convey with the sale. Come take a look and experience the wonders that stimulated such a creative force. You might want to set up your easel, stay awhile and paint!
